AHMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY (ABU) ANNOUNCES DATE FOR 2025/2026 POSTGRADUATE MATRICULATION CEREMONY
Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has announced the date for the matriculation ceremony for newly admitted postgraduate students for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The announcement was contained in a special bulletin issued by the University.
ABU POSTGRADUATE MATRICULATION DATE
According to the bulletin, the matriculation ceremony has been scheduled to hold as follows:
Date: Wednesday, September 23, 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m.
Venue: Postgraduate College Auditorium, Ahmadu Bello University, Main Campus, Samaru, Zaria.
MATRICULATION CEREMONY FOR FRESH POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS
The ceremony marks the official entry of newly admitted postgraduate students into Ahmadu Bello University.
It will also provide an opportunity for the students to formally accept the values, responsibilities and expectations associated with membership of the University community.
The Matriculation Oath will be administered to the students during the ceremony.
ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY
The University stated that participation in the matriculation ceremony is mandatory for all fresh postgraduate students.
Students are required to appear fully robed in academic gowns and comply with all instructions and appropriate conduct throughout the ceremony.
Fresh postgraduate students are therefore advised to make adequate preparations and ensure that they are present at the venue on time.
ACADEMIC GOWNS AND MATRICULATION OATH FORMS
According to the bulletin, students are to obtain their academic gowns and Matriculation Oath Forms from Room B9 of the Postgraduate College.
Students are required to pay a fee of ₦3,000 at the College Cash Office before collecting the items.
Students are advised to complete the necessary arrangements ahead of the ceremony to avoid any last-minute issues.
ABU WELCOMES NEW POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS
The Postgraduate College welcomed all newly admitted postgraduate students and wished them success in their various programmes.
The matriculation ceremony is expected to formally mark the beginning of their postgraduate academic journey at Ahmadu Bello University.
