The Management of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has officially commenced the distribution of student identity cards for newly admitted 100 Level and 200 Level (Direct Entry) students for the 2025/2026 academic session. In an internal memorandum issued by the ICT Unit and signed by Sabuwa AB Ibrahim, the Head of the BCS Unit, students are informed that the identification cards are now ready for immediate collection. This exercise is a critical component of the university's onboarding process, as the ID card serves as the primary instrument for campus security, library access, and examination eligibility.

To maintain administrative order and prevent overcrowding at the service points, the university has adopted a faculty-based schedule that students are expected to follow strictly. The exercise is currently active and is being conducted at the ICT Complex, Room F03, on a daily basis from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students should note that they will only be attended to during the specific window allocated to their faculty.

The collection cycle began with the College of Medicine, running from Monday, 16th February to Thursday, 19th February 2026. This will be followed by the Faculty of Agriculture from Friday, 20th February to Monday, 23rd February, and the Faculty of Arts from Tuesday, 24th February to Friday, 27th February 2026. As the calendar moves into March, the Faculty of Computing will have its turn from Monday, 2nd March to Wednesday, 4th March, followed by the Faculty of Environmental Design on Thursday, 5th March and Friday, 6th March. The Faculty of Life Science is scheduled for the week of Monday, 9th March to Friday, 13th March, while the Faculty of Education will follow from Monday, 16th March to Wednesday, 18th March 2026.

The schedule continues later in the month with the Faculty of Management Science from Tuesday, 24th March to Friday, 27th March. The Faculty of Physical Science is slated for Monday, 30th March to Wednesday, 1st April, followed by a joint window for the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Pharmacy on Thursday, 2nd April and Friday, 3rd April. The final faculty in the main rotation is the Faculty of Social Science, which will collect cards from Monday, 6th April to Friday, 10th April 2026.

The university management understands that technical issues may arise during the printing process. Consequently, a dedicated window for complaints and ID card-related resolutions has been set aside from Monday, 13th April to Friday, 30th April 2026. Students who find errors in their data or whose cards were not available during their faculty’s turn are advised to visit the ICT Complex during this period for rectification. The FULafia management urges all concerned students to comply with this schedule unfailingly to ensure a smooth transition into the academic year and to avoid unnecessary delays in accessing university facilities.
