The Office of the Registrar hereby issues a critical update to all Directors of Study Centres, staff, and the student body regarding the conclusion of administrative processes for the First Semester, 2026 (2026_1).
To ensure the seamless administration of the upcoming examinations, strict adherence to the following timelines is mandatory. Directors of Study Centres are specifically enjoined to accelerate the dissemination of this information across all communication channels to ensure no student is disenfranchised.
I. FINAL REGISTRATION DEADLINE (300 LEVEL & ABOVE)
The window for course and examination registration for senior students is reaching its absolute conclusion. This extension serves as the final opportunity for students to regularize their academic standing for the semester.
- Affected Category: All students in 300 Level and above.
- Closing Date: Tuesday, 28th April, 2026.
- Portal Deactivation: Exactly 12:00 Midnight.
- Finality of Deadline: There will be no further prolongation or extension granted for registration beyond this date. The portal will be systematically locked at the specified hour.
II. 2026_1 EXAMINATION COMMENCEMENT
Following the closure of the registration portal, the university will transition immediately into the examination phase.
- Commencement Date: Monday, 4th May, 2026.
- Examination Preparation: Students are advised to print their Examination Slips immediately after registration to verify their venues and scheduled dates.
- Eligibility: Only students with valid, completed registrations and generated examination slips will be cleared to enter the examination halls.
III. DIRECTIVES TO STUDY CENTRE DIRECTORS
Directors of Study Centres are required to take the following actions with accelerated implementation:
- Sensitization: Proactively inform all students within your jurisdiction of these deadlines via SMS, email, and notice boards.
- Publicity: Ensure these dates are highlighted during all facilitated sessions and within student social media groups.
- Advisory: Remind students that failure to register before the April 28th deadline will result in the inability to sit for the May 4th examinations.
IV. TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Students encountering difficulties with portal access or course blinking are advised to report to their respective Study Centres for immediate resolution before the April 28th cutoff. Waiting until the final 24 hours is strongly discouraged to avoid system congestion.
