INDEFINITE POSTPONEMENT OF THE 2025/2026 POSTGRADUATE MATRICULATION CEREMONY – AMBROSE ALLI UNIVERSITY (AAU)
The Management of the School of Postgraduate Studies, Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, hereby issues an urgent notice to all newly admitted postgraduate students, the university community, and the general public.
The Postgraduate Matriculation Ceremony, which was originally scheduled to take place on Thursday, 9th April 2026, has been officially postponed indefinitely.
I. DETAILS OF THE POSTPONEMENT
Following an emergency review of administrative and logistical requirements, the University Senate and the Postgraduate School Board have reached a consensus to put the ceremony on hold.
- Status: Postponed Indefinitely
- Affected Cohort: All newly admitted Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Masters (M.Sc./M.A./Professional), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) candidates for the 2025/2026 session.
- Reason: This decision is aimed at ensuring a more seamless and well-coordinated event that aligns with the institution's high standards of academic prestige.
II. DIRECTIVES FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS
While the formal induction ceremony is delayed, the following academic and administrative protocols remain in full effect:
- Academic Continuity: This postponement does not affect the ongoing academic calendar. All postgraduate lectures, seminars, and research consultations should proceed as scheduled within their respective departments.
- Registration Window: Newly admitted students who are yet to finalize their Medical Clearances, Departmental Registrations, or Fee Payments are strongly urged to utilize this period to complete all outstanding formalities.
- Gown Management: Students who have already collected their academic regalia are advised to keep them in pristine condition. For those who have not yet collected their gowns, the process is temporarily suspended until further notice from the Postgraduate School Secretariat.
III. NOTIFICATION OF NEW DATE
The Management regrets any inconvenience this sudden change may cause to students and their invited guests. A new date for the ceremony will be determined and communicated through the following official channels:

- SMS and Email Notifications to Registered Students
