LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY (LASU): 2026/2027 INDIGENESHIP VERIFICATION EXERCISE (IIVE)

The Management of Lagos State University (LASU) hereby announces the commencement of the Indigeneship Verification Exercise (IIVE) for the 2026/2027 academic session. This exercise is mandatory for all candidates of Lagos State origin seeking admission into the university.

I. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for this verification exercise, candidates must satisfy the following:

• UTME Score: A minimum score of 195 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
• Choice of Institution: Candidates must have chosen Lagos State University as their First Choice.
• Origin: Candidates must be of Lagos State Origin.
• Direct Entry: All Direct Entry applicants of Lagos State origin are also required to participate.

II. REGISTRATION & SCREENING SCHEDULE

The portal for online payment and registration opens on Monday, 27th April 2026, and will close on Friday, 22nd May 2026.

The verification interviews will be conducted across the five administrative divisions of Lagos State at the following locations:

• Ikeja Division: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Arts
• Badagry Division: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Arts
• Ikorodu Division: Law Clinic, Faculty of Law
• Lagos Division: International Business Class, MBA Building
• Epe Division: School of Transport and Logistics

Special Provisions for Previous Applicants
Applicants from the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic sessions who were cleared but not offered admission do not need a fresh interview. Instead, they must revalidate their Indigeneship Clearance Certificates online at the university website with the required payment.
