Share

The Management of Kano State Polytechnic, through the Central Administration Management Information System (MIS), has officially released the registration protocol for all newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session. To ensure a seamless transition into the polytechnic community, all fresh students are mandated to follow the eleven-step procedure outlined below. Failure to complete any of these steps may result in the forfeiture of admission or complications in academic records.

Phase 1: Admission Acceptance and Initial Fees
The first stage of the process is purely digital and centers on confirming your intent to study at the institution. Step 1: Candidates must log into their personal admission account on the school portal to either accept or reject the offer of admission. Step 2: Once the admission is accepted, the candidate is required to pay a non-refundable Admission Acceptance Fee of ₦10,000.00. This payment must be cleared before the system allows the printing of the official Polytechnic Admission Letter. Step 3: For National Diploma (ND) students, it is mandatory to log into the JAMB portal to accept the admission and print the official JAMB Admission Letter.

Phase 2: Departmental Screening and Union Dues
After securing the necessary letters, students must transition to physical verification. Step 4: Candidates should proceed to their respective departments for physical screening. During this exercise, the Polytechnic Admission Letters will be verified, signed, and stamped by the authorized departmental officers. Step 5: Following a successful screening, students must proceed to the designated Microfinance Bank to pay the Union Dues, which amount to ₦1,500.00. Ensure you keep the bank teller safe, as it is a required document for the next stage.

Phase 3: Documentation and Account Activation
This phase involves the verification of your credentials by the Students' Affairs Division. Step 6: Meet the Students' Affairs Officer at your school for assessment. You must provide photocopies of your screened Polytechnic Admission Letter, JAMB Admission Letter (for ND) or NBTE Admission Letter (for HND), the teller for Union Dues, all original academic documents, and a passport photograph. Step 7: Once cleared by Students' Affairs, proceed to the MIS staff for Account Activation. This step is critical as it enables your profile on the central registration portal.

Phase 4: Final Payments and Course Registration
With an active account, students can now finalize their financial and academic registration online. Step 8: Log into the official portal at https://kanopoly.safsrms.com. From this dashboard, you must pay the Central Registration Fee and the Departmental Registration Fee. After payment, ensure you print your official receipts, the Course Registration Form (C.R.F.), and your Student Examination Card. Step 9: Proceed to the Polytechnic Library for your formal Library Registration and the issuance of a library card.

Phase 5: Authentication and Departmental Filing
The final steps involve the validation of all payments and the submission of files for permanent record keeping. Step 10: Visit the Bursary Department at the Central Administration for Payment Authentication. This verifies that all fees have been correctly remitted to the institution's accounts. Step 11: Finally, return to your department with two copies of all credentials and two recent passport photographs for final documentation and filing.

Completing this exhaustive process marks the official commencement of your journey as a student of Kano State Polytechnic. All students are advised to adhere strictly to these steps to avoid any administrative bottlenecks during the semester.
