UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS BUSINESS SCHOOL (ULBS): DOCTOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (DBA) ADMISSIONS

The University of Lagos Business School (ULBS) is officially inviting applications for its prestigious Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme. This executive doctoral degree is specifically designed to bridge the gap between high-level academic research and advanced professional practice, empowering senior leaders to solve complex, real-world business challenges.

I. AREAS OF SPECIALISATION

Participants can focus their doctoral research and advanced study in one of the following tracks:

• DBA in Management and Leadership
• DBA in Finance

II. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must satisfy the following academic and professional criteria for consideration:

• Academic: A Master’s degree (MBA or Master’s in Business, Management, Accounting, HRM, Marketing, Finance, Actuarial Science, or Risk Management) from a recognised university.
• Minimum Grade: A Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.50 on a 5-point scale.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant industry experience, with verifiable evidence of current employment in a senior management or administrative role.
• Research Proposal: All applicants must submit and successfully defend a research proposal featuring a clear Statement of the Problem, Objectives, Literature Review, and Methodology.

III. APPLICATION & SELECTION TIMELINE

Prospective candidates should note these critical dates for the 2026 intake:

• Application Deadline: Friday, July 31, 2026.
• Selection Interviews: Wednesday, August 19 – Friday, August 21, 2026.
• Programme Commencement: Saturday, September 12, 2026.
• Programme Duration: Minimum of three (3) years (6 semesters) and a maximum of five (5) years (10 semesters).
