40TH NCE & 17TH UNDERGRADUATE MATRICULATION CEREMONY – AMINU SALEH COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

The Management of Aminu Saleh College of Education is pleased to announce the schedule for its combined 40th NCE and 17th Undergraduate Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. This ceremony marks the formal induction of newly admitted students into the college’s academic community.

I. PROGRAMME OF EVENTS

The institution has approved a series of activities to ensure a successful transition for all matriculants. The schedule is as follows:

ORIENTATION AND PREPARATION

  • Orientation Lectures & Gown Collection: Thursday, April 16, 2026
  • Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
  • Venue: Chris Abutu Garuba Hall
  • Rehearsal: Thursday, April 16, 2026 (5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.) at the Dr. Musa Babayo Sport Complex.

MATRICULATION CEREMONY

  • Date: Friday, April 17, 2026
  • Venue: Dr. Musa Babayo Sport Complex
  • NCE Schedule: 8:00 a.m.
  • Undergraduate Schedule: 4:00 p.m.

SOCIAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

  • Cultural Dance: Saturday, April 18, 2026
  • Time: 4:00 p.m.
  • Venue: Dr. Musa Babayo Sport Complex

II. SUSPENSION OF ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

To facilitate the smooth conduct of the matriculation exercises, the College Management, through the Registrar, Terisa Abdullahi Babbaji, has directed the following:

  • Lectures: All academic activities for 100 and 200 Level students are hereby suspended for the duration of the events.
  • Facility Usage: Regular activities at the Chris Abutu Garuba Hall and Dr. Musa Babayo Sport Complex will be halted to prioritize the matriculation programme.

III. ADMINISTRATIVE ADVISORY FOR MATRICULANTS

  • Gown Collection: Students must ensure they collect their academic gowns within the stipulated time on Thursday.
  • Attendance: Attendance at both the orientation lectures and the rehearsal is mandatory for all matriculating students to ensure orderliness during the main ceremony.
  • Punctuality: Matriculants are expected to be seated at the Sport Complex at least 30 minutes before their respective sessions commence.
