AHMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY (ABU) COMMENCES SECOND PHASE OF 2026/2027 POST-UTME AND DIRECT ENTRY SCREENING
Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has announced the commencement of the second phase of the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) registration and screening exercise.
The University disclosed this in a Special Bulletin dated Saturday, September 26, 2026, signed by the Registrar, Rabiu Samaila.
Following the release of the 2026 NECO results, candidates who did not register for the Post-UTME screening have been advised to complete their registration immediately through the University’s online portal.

Candidates who were unable to complete their registration due to O' Level deficiencies can also return to the portal to complete the process.
SCREENING DATE
The second phase of the screening exercise is scheduled to hold from:
Monday, September 28, to Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
The University stated that the admission process will commence after the second phase.
REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY
ABU emphasized that registration is mandatory for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates.
Candidates who fail to register will not be considered for admission into any programme of the University.
O' LEVEL RESULTS
The University also stated that UTME candidates' O' Level results will form part of their admission scores.
Candidates are therefore advised to:
- Upload clear copies of their O' Level results.
- Ensure that the grades entered during registration are accurate.
- Confirm that their O' Level results have been uploaded to JAMB CAPS/e-Facility.
ABU warned that admission cannot be processed on JAMB CAPS where the required O' Level result has not been uploaded.
AGGREGATE RESULTS
UTME candidates who registered and were successfully screened before Thursday, September 10, 2026, can check their aggregate results on the University portal.
Candidates who registered after September 10, 2026, will have their results released as part of the Second Batch in due course.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO CANDIDATES
Candidates are advised to complete their registration within the stated period and ensure that their O' Level information is correctly uploaded both on the ABU portal and JAMB CAPS.
