AJAYI POLYTECHNIC ANNOUNCES ACADEMIC STAFF VACANCIES IN 2026
Ajayi Polytechnic, Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, has announced vacancies for qualified candidates to fill academic positions across several departments in its Schools of Sciences, Engineering Technology, Management Sciences, Finance and Health Technology.
The institution is inviting applications for the positions of Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I, Lecturer II and Lecturer III. Interested applicants are advised to review the requirements and application procedure before applying.

Qualifications and Experience
- Senior Lecturer: PhD, at least eight years of teaching, research and administrative experience in tertiary institutions, and a minimum of six scholarly publications in reputable local and international journals.
- Lecturer I: Academic master’s degree from a reputable institution, at least three years of relevant experience, and a minimum of four scholarly publications.
- Lecturer II: Academic master’s degree with at least a Second Class Upper (2:1), two years of relevant experience, and at least two scholarly publications.
- Lecturer III: Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Upper (2:1), one year of relevant experience, and at least one scholarly publication.
Registration with relevant professional bodies is required where applicable, while membership of relevant professional organisations is an added advantage.
Technologists and Technicians
The notice also provides the following requirements for technical positions:
- Technologists: HND with at least Upper Credit and three years of relevant experience.
- Technicians: National Diploma (ND) with at least Upper Credit and three years of relevant experience in tertiary institutions.

According to the notice signed by AWE J.K., Registrar and Secretary to Council, in September 2026, applications must reach the Registrar’s office not later than two weeks from the date of publication.
