AKSU Announces 10th Inaugural Lecture and Book Presentation

The Vice-Chancellor of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU), Professor OtoAbasi E. Akpan, has formally invited members of the academic community, stakeholders, students, and the general public to the institution’s 10th Inaugural Lecture and Book Presentation.

The event is expected to serve as a significant academic gathering aimed at promoting scholarly discourse, research advancement, and intellectual development within the university community and beyond.

The inaugural lecture will be delivered by Professor Nse E. Akwang, a distinguished Professor of Library and Information Science.

“Breaking Forth into Knowledge Independence: Librarianship as the ‘Magic Bullet’”

The lecture is expected to explore the evolving role of librarianship in knowledge development, information accessibility, research innovation, and national growth in the digital age.

As part of the event, a book presentation will also be held in honour of the inaugural lecturer.

“Crystalising Emerging Technologies, Trends and Perspectives in Librarianship: A Book of Readings in Honour of Professor Nse Emmanuel Akwang”
