The Management of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic has officially released the First Semester Examination Timetable for Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) students for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

According to the institution, the examination is scheduled to commence on Monday, 15th June, 2026, and all affected students are advised to adequately prepare and familiarize themselves with the examination schedule and regulations ahead of the commencement date.

The Polytechnic management emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline, integrity, and proper conduct throughout the examination period. Students have therefore been directed to strictly comply with all examination regulations as outlined in Section 9 of the Students' Handbook.

Important Examination Guidelines

To ensure a smooth and successful examination exercise, students are expected to observe the following guidelines:

  1. Dress Decently
    Students must maintain proper dressing at all times while on campus and during examinations. The use of inappropriate clothing such as crop tops, shorts, sleeveless outfits, revealing dresses, and other indecent attire is strictly prohibited.
  2. Avoid Bringing School Bags
    Candidates are strongly advised not to bring school bags into examination halls. Any student found violating this directive may face disciplinary action in accordance with the institution's regulations.
  3. Mobile Phones Are Prohibited
    The use or possession of mobile phones, handsets, smart devices, and other communication gadgets inside examination halls is not permitted. Students found with such items may be penalized for examination misconduct.
  4. Maintain a Clean Examination Environment
    Students are expected to keep their examination environment neat and free from unauthorized materials. Textbooks, notebooks, loose sheets of paper, and any other prohibited materials must not be brought into the examination hall.
  5. Come With Required Identification Documents
    Every student must present valid identification and proof of registration before being allowed into the examination venue. Students are required to come with:
    • Official Student Identity Card
    • Blue Card
    • Duly Stamped School Fees Receipt

    These documents serve as evidence of proper registration and payment of school fees.

Warning Against Examination Malpractice

The Polytechnic Management has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards examination malpractice. Students are strongly advised to avoid any form of misconduct that could compromise the integrity of the examination process.

The institution noted that penalties for examination malpractice are clearly stated in the Students' Handbook, and offenders will face appropriate disciplinary measures if found guilty.

Students are encouraged to carefully study the examination rules and ensure full compliance to avoid unnecessary sanctions.
