ALEX EKWUEME FEDERAL UNIVERSITY NDUFU-ALIKE (AE-FUNAI) EXTENDS 2026/2027 POST-UTME/DE REGISTRATION DEADLINE

The management of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI) has officially announced an extension of the registration period for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Screening Exercise.

The announcement was made in an official memo issued by the Office of the Registrar and dated June 29, 2026.

According to the memo, the Vice-Chancellor approved the extension to provide more time for prospective candidates who are yet to complete their registration for the screening exercise.

New Registration Deadline

The registration exercise, which was initially scheduled to close on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, has now been extended by one month.

The new deadline for the registration is:

Friday, July 31, 2026

Candidates who have not yet completed their application are strongly advised to make use of this extension and register before the new closing date.

Important Information for Candidates

The University also called on candidates who did not initially choose AE-FUNAI as their first-choice institution but wish to study at the university to immediately visit any JAMB Office or JAMB-accredited CBT Centre to carry out a Change of Institution and/or Course to Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike.

Such candidates are expected to complete their Post-UTME registration within the extended registration period.

Earlier Admission Guidelines Remain Valid

The University noted that all previously published admission requirements, eligibility criteria, registration procedures, and screening guidelines remain unchanged.

Candidates are therefore advised to carefully follow the existing application instructions while completing their registration.

Final Note

Prospective candidates are encouraged not to wait until the last minute before completing their registration. Registering early allows applicants enough time to correct any errors, upload necessary documents, and avoid network congestion that often occurs close to the deadline.

Candidates who are yet to choose AE-FUNAI as their preferred institution should also ensure they complete their JAMB Change of Institution process as soon as possible to remain eligible for admission consideration.
