ASUU FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF KASHERE BRANCH OPENS APPLICATION FOR 2026 INDIGENT SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Federal University of Kashere (FUK) Branch, has invited applications from suitably qualified and genuinely indigent students of the university for the 2026 ASUU Indigent Scholarship Award.
According to the union, the scholarship is sponsored by the National Body of ASUU and is open to registered students of the Federal University of Kashere who meet the stated eligibility requirements.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To qualify for the 2026 ASUU Indigent Scholarship Award, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Be a registered student of the Federal University of Kashere for the current academic session.
- Be genuinely indigent, as financial need is a major consideration for the scholarship.
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 from the preceding academic session and maintain good academic standing.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Applicants are required to submit an application letter of not more than two pages.
The application letter must contain the following information:
- Full name of the candidate
- Course of study
- Level and year of study
- State of origin
- A brief explanation of the applicant's indigent status
- Reasons why the applicant deserves the scholarship
The following supporting documents must also be attached:
- Photocopy of the applicant's current Student Identity Card.
- Letter from the applicant's Head of Department (HOD) confirming the CGPA for the preceding academic session.
- Copy of the applicant's last semester Course Registration Form.
- A current passport photograph.

Applicants are required to submit their applications in a sealed envelope marked "ASUU INDIGENT SCHOLARSHIP 2026" at the top right corner.

The union warned that late applications will not be considered.
SHORTLISTING AND SCREENING
According to the announcement, shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interaction and screening exercise.
The selection process will adopt the Smart Prevention/Scholarship format, while the final award will be presented at the Zonal level.
Applicants are also advised to ensure that their applications and supporting documents are complete, as incomplete applications will be disqualified.
