ASUU-FULOKOJA ANNOUNCES 2026 INDIGENT SCHOLARSHIP AWARD FOR STUDENTS
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), through its national body, is currently receiving applications for the 2026 Indigent Scholarship Award across Nigerian public universities with recognised ASUU branches.
In line with this initiative, the ASUU-Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) Scholarship Committee has called on eligible students of the university to apply for the scholarship award.
Heads of Departments and Level Coordinators are also encouraged to bring the scholarship opportunity to the attention of students.
CRITERIA FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- The applicant must be indigent.
- The applicant must be a registered student of a university with a recognised ASUU branch.
- The applicant must have a good academic performance with a minimum CGPA of 3.0.
MODE OF APPLICATION
Each applicant is required to submit an application letter of not more than two pages.
The application letter must contain:
- Full name of the candidate
- Course and year of study
- State of origin
- GSM/phone number at the end of the letter
The application letter must also be accompanied by the following documents:
- Photocopy of the candidate's current identity card
- A letter from the candidate's current Head of Department containing current information on the candidate's CGPA for the preceding academic session
- Copy of the candidate's registration form for the current semester
- Two current passport photographs
WHERE TO SUBMIT APPLICATION
All applications must be submitted in person at the ASUU Secretariat, Adankolo Campus.
Applicants are required to include their GSM number at the end of their application letters.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
The deadline for submission of applications is Friday, September 18, 2026.
Eligible students are advised to submit their applications before the deadline, as late applications may not be considered.
