MODIBBO ADAMA UNIVERSITY WARNS STUDENTS AGAINST ORGANISING UNAUTHORISED EVENTS

The Management of Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola has warned all students’ associations against organising events and programmes without obtaining the necessary approval from the designated university authorities.

According to the university, its rules and regulations require all students’ associations, including departmental, faculty-based, religious, and cultural associations, to seek permission before organising any event.

UNIVERSITY WARNS AGAINST UNAUTHORISED EVENTS

The university administration stated that it has become aware that some students’ associations have been organising events without seeking the consent and approval of the appropriate offices.

Management described the organisation of unauthorised events, regardless of the purpose or guise, as unacceptable.

Consequently, all students’ associations have been strongly advised to ensure that they obtain the necessary approval before organising any event within the university.

MANAGEMENT REAFFIRMS SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATIONS

The university administration stated that it is willing to provide an enabling environment for all students’ associations to operate and carry out their activities.

However, associations are expected to follow the established procedures and obtain the required approval before proceeding with any programme or event.

Students’ associations are therefore advised to comply with the university’s rules and regulations to avoid sanctions or other consequences arising from organising unauthorised events.
