The Management of the Distance Learning Institute (DLI) at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially announced the commencement of the Batch Four Screening Exercise for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. Newly admitted students are required to participate in this physical verification process to finalize their admission status and transition into formal registration.

To ensure a seamless exercise, all candidates are urged to adhere to the designated schedule and prepare the mandatory documentation listed below.

I. SCREENING SCHEDULE AND VENUE

The screening exercise is conducted during official working hours. Candidates are advised to arrive early to facilitate orderly processing.

  • Commencement Date: Tuesday, April 7, 2026
  • Operational Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Monday through Friday)
  • Location: 2nd Floor, DLI Administrative Building, UNILAG Main Campus, Akoka.

II. ADMISSION STATUS VERIFICATION

Before proceeding to the campus for physical screening, candidates should confirm their names on the official admission lists. This applies to both the current batch and previous installments.

  • Action: Visit the official DLI UNILAG Portal to view the Admission Lists for Batches 1, 2, 3, and 4.
  • Requirement: Only candidates whose names appear on these verified lists are eligible for the Batch Four screening exercise.

III. MANDATORY DOCUMENTATION

Candidates must present original copies of the following credentials. Failure to provide any of these documents may lead to the suspension of the screening process for the affected individual.

  1. Printed Application Form: Evidence of your initial digital application.
  2. Academic Testimonials: Both Primary and Secondary School testimonials are required.
  3. O’ Level Certificate(s): Original WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB certificates.
  4. Higher Degree Certificates: Required for Direct Entry candidates (HND, OND, NCE, ICAN, etc.).
  5. NYSC Documentation: Required for Direct Entry (Discharge Certificate, Exemption, or Exclusion letter).
  6. Birth Evidence: Original Birth Certificate or a Sworn Affidavit.
    Note: Any affidavit provided must predate the initial admission advertisement to be considered valid.
  7. Marriage Documents: Applicable to married female candidates only (Marriage Certificate and Newspaper Change of Name).

IV. IMPORTANT SECURITY ADVISORY

The University of Lagos maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward fraudulent activities and third-party interference.

  • No External Agents: The institution does not engage external agents or third-party consultants for admission processing or screening.
  • Direct Interaction: Candidates are strongly advised to beware of fraudsters. All payments and documentation should be handled directly through official university channels.
