BAYERO UNIVERSITY, KANO ANNOUNCES 2026/2027 NELFUND STUDENT LOAN APPLICATION

Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has announced the commencement of applications for the 2026/2027 Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) student loan scheme, providing eligible students with an opportunity to apply for financial support during the academic session.

In a notice issued to the university community, students interested in accessing the loan have been advised to visit the official NELFUND application portal and complete the required application process.

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE NELFUND STUDENT LOAN

Interested students are required to visit the official NELFUND portal through the link below:

Applicants are advised to provide accurate and complete information when completing their applications to ensure proper processing.

CHANGE OF COURSE OR INSTITUTION REQUESTS

Students who have submitted requests for a Change of Course or Change of Institution are required to complete the designated Google Form provided by the university.

Concerned students should ensure that all required details are correctly supplied when submitting the form.

NELFUND APPLICATION DEADLINE

According to the university's announcement, the application exercise will remain open until Thursday, 31st December 2026.

All interested students are therefore encouraged to complete their applications before the stated deadline.

INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS WITH OUTSTANDING NELFUND REFUND CLAIMS

Meanwhile, students with outstanding NELFUND refund claims have been directed to submit their Remita payment receipts or Statements of Result to the NELFUND Desk Office.

Submission will commence on Monday, 5th October 2026, at the following location:

Students with pending refund claims should ensure that they submit the required documents for necessary attention.
