BAYERO UNIVERSITY, KANO RELEASES 2026/2027 POST-UTME SCREENING DETAILS, CUT-OFF MARKS AND APPLICATION GUIDELINES
The Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has officially commenced its 2026/2027 UTME Online Screening Exercise for candidates seeking admission into the institution. The university has released detailed information regarding eligibility requirements, cut-off marks, application procedures, and important deadlines for prospective students.
Candidates who selected Bayero University, Kano as their first-choice institution and meet the prescribed cut-off marks are invited to participate in the screening exercise.
Screening Schedule
The online screening exercise will commence on Friday, June 19, 2026 and close on Sunday, August 16, 2026.
All interested candidates are advised to complete their registration within the stipulated period as late applications will not be considered.
How to Apply
Prospective candidates are required to visit the official Bayero University website and complete the online screening registration.
Step 1: Login
- Visit the university portal.
- Click on the "2026 UTME Online Screening Exercise" link.www.buk.edu.ng
- Log in using your UTME Registration Number as your username.
- Use your UTME aggregate score as your password.
Step 2: Update Profile
Candidates are expected to carefully complete the online profile form with accurate information.
The university noted that the photograph uploaded through JAMB will serve as the candidate's official identification throughout their academic stay at Bayero University, Kano.
Step 3: Payment
Applicants are required to generate a Personalised Payment Invoice (PPI) containing a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).
The screening fee is ₦2,000 only.

After successful payment, candidates are expected to print their acknowledgement slip.

Important Information for Candidates
Candidates must ensure that their O'Level results have been uploaded to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) through any accredited CBT centre or JAMB office.
The university stated that candidates may upload results from a maximum of two sittings.
Applicants are also advised to provide only accurate information during registration, as any false declaration will result in automatic disqualification.
Blind candidates and foreign applicants are exempted from any aptitude test but must still complete the online screening registration.
Deadline
Bayero University, Kano emphasized that all applications must be completed on or before Sunday, August 16, 2026.
Candidates who fail to register within the stipulated period will not be considered for admission into the university for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Prospective students are therefore advised to complete their registration early and ensure that all admission requirements are met before the closing date.
