BENUE STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY POSTPONES 100 LEVEL RESUMPTION INDEFINITELY

The Benue State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Agasha, has postponed the resumption of academic activities for its 100 Level students indefinitely.

The resumption was earlier scheduled for Monday, 21st September 2026.

The College Management made the announcement in a notice to members of the College community, advising affected students to take note of the change.

REASON FOR THE POSTPONEMENT

According to the Management, the decision follows renewed hostilities between the Mbakor and Nongov communities within the College’s host community.

Management stated that the postponement was reached after careful consideration of the overall interest of the institution, with the safety and security of staff and students identified as the paramount concern.

STUDENTS ADVISED TO TAKE NOTE

Students who have already commenced their journey back to the campus are advised to take note of the postponement and make the necessary arrangements.

The College Management has appealed to relevant stakeholders to intensify efforts towards achieving lasting peace in the host community.

According to the Management, a peaceful environment is necessary to enable the College to resume full academic activities.

NEW RESUMPTION DATE

The College has not announced a new date for the resumption of 100 Level students.

A new resumption date will be communicated in due course once the necessary conditions for the safe return of students and staff are in place.

Students are therefore advised to rely on official communication from the Benue State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Agasha for further updates regarding resumption.
