BORNO STATE UNIVERSITY (BOSU) RELEASES POST-UTME/DE ADMISSION FORM FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to inform all candidates who selected Borno State University (BOSU) as their institution of first choice in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or those applying through Direct Entry (DE), that the online screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session will officially commence on Monday, 11th August, 2025 and is scheduled to close on Sunday, 31st August, 2025. All prospective applicants are expected to complete their registration within this period. The registration process is to be carried out online through the University’s POST-UTME APPLICATION PORTAL https://putme.bosu.edu.ng/
Eligibility
1. All UTME candidates who have chosen Borno State University as their preferred choice and have scored not less than the officially approved minimum cut-off marks for their intended faculties or academic programmes, as specified in the university’s requirements in the attached photos below, are eligible to apply.
2. Candidates must have sat for the relevant UTME subject combination that corresponds with their intended course of study as specified by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
3. All applicants must have obtained a minimum of five (5) relevant credits at the Ordinary Level (O’Level), including compulsory passes in English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
4. Candidates who do not meet the required cut-off marks for their initially chosen programmes are strongly advised to consider changing to alternative programmes for which they are qualified. This change must be effected on the official JAMB portal before proceeding with the screening application.
5. Direct Entry (DE) applicants are also eligible provided they possess, in addition to the minimum of five (5) relevant O’Level credits (including English Language and Mathematics), at least a merit in NCE or a minimum of lower credit in ND/HND or a Second Class Lower Division in a relevant degree.
6. All candidates must ensure that their O’Level results are properly uploaded on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). Failure to do so will result in disqualification, as only candidates with uploaded results will be considered for admission.
Mode of Payment
– All eligible candidates are required to log in to the screening portal using their JAMB Registration Number as both their username and password to access their pre-loaded details.
– A payment invoice (Remita) will be generated for each applicant. Candidates may choose to pay using a MasterCard, Visa, Verve card, or any other available online payment method. Alternatively, the payment slip can be printed and used to make payment at any commercial bank nationwide.
– The screening fee is two thousand naira (N2,000) only, excluding bank charges.
– After making the payment, candidates are expected to return to the screening portal to log in using their JAMB Registration Number and complete the online application form accurately.
– Applicants must provide all necessary and truthful information as requested in the form, and are advised to double-check their entries before final submission.
