EDO STATE UNIVERSITY, IYAMHO (ESUI) RELEASES 2026/2027 ACADEMIC CALENDAR

The Management of Edo State University, Iyamho (ESUI), Edo State, has released the academic calendar for the 2026/2027 academic session for newly admitted and returning students.

The First Semester is scheduled for 16 weeks, while the Second Semester will run for 15 weeks.

FIRST SEMESTER

• 17 Oct. 2026: New students resume in Halls of Residence.
• 19–30 Oct. 2026: Screening and registration for new students.
• 28–29 Oct. 2026: Orientation for new students.
• 31 Oct. 2026: Returning students resume.
• 2 Nov. 2026: Lectures begin for new students.
• 2–6 Nov. 2026: Registration for returning students.
• 9 Nov. 2026: Lectures begin for returning students.
• 26 Nov. 2026: Convocation Lecture.
• 28 Nov. 2026: Convocation Day.
• 17 Dec. 2026: Late course registration and commencement of Christmas/New Year break.
• 9 Jan. 2027: Students return.
• 11 Jan. 2027: Lectures continue.
• 18 Feb. 2027: Matriculation.
• 19 Feb. 2027: First Semester lectures end.
• 22–27 Feb. 2027: GST/ENT Examinations.
• 1–13 Mar. 2027: First Semester Examinations.
• 14 Mar. 2027: First Semester break.

SECOND SEMESTER

• 3 Apr. 2027: Students return to Halls of Residence.
• 5 Apr. 2027: Second Semester lectures begin.
• 21–25 Jun. 2027: Student Week.
• 28 Jun.–2 Jul. 2027: Revision/Continuous Assessment.
• 2 Jul. 2027: Lectures end.
• 5–10 Jul. 2027: GST/ENT Examinations.
• 12–24 Jul. 2027: Second Semester Examinations.
• 25 Jul. 2027: Long vacation begins.
• 17–20 Aug. 2027: Departmental/Faculty consideration of results.
• 30 Aug.–3 Sept. 2027: Senate consideration and approval of results.
• 4 Oct. 2027: Commencement of the 2027/2028 academic session.
