The Directorate of Examinations and Assessment has noted with concern the low participation rate in the Tutor-Marked Assignments (TMA) for the current semester.
To ensure that no student is disadvantaged, the University Management has magnanimously approved an extension of the submission deadlines. This extension provides a vital opportunity for students to secure their continuous assessment scores before the final examinations.
I. NEW SUBMISSION DEADLINES
The deadlines have been staggered based on academic levels to manage portal traffic effectively:
- 300–800 Level Courses: Sunday, 17th May 2026
- 100–200 Level Courses: Sunday, 7th June 2026
> CRITICAL NOTE: Management has explicitly stated that no further extensions will be granted beyond these dates. Students are urged to complete their submissions well before the new deadlines to avoid portal congestion.
II. INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDY CENTRE DIRECTORS
All Study Centre Directors are hereby mandated to:
- Publicize these new dates across all departmental notice boards and digital platforms.
- Sensitize students on the importance of TMAs as a mandatory component of their final grade.
- Monitor submission trends to ensure maximum participation within their respective centres.
III. TMA SUBMISSION CHECKLIST FOR STUDENTS
To ensure your TMA is successfully recorded, follow these steps:
- Internet Stability: Ensure you have a strong connection before beginning the assessment to prevent data loss.
- Confirmation: Always check your "Submission History" on the portal to verify that your scores have been captured.
- Course Coverage: Confirm that you have attempted all three (3) sets of TMAs for each registered course.
CONCLUSION: ACT NOW
The TMA contributes significantly to your overall semester performance. Failure to attempt these assignments will result in an "Incomplete" grade, regardless of your performance in the final examination.
Please be guided accordingly.
