The management of the FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (SPECIAL), OYO has officially released the 2026/2027 Post-UTME Admission Screening Form for eligible candidates seeking admission into its 5-Year Dual Mode Degree Programme.

Established in October 1977, the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo is the only institution of its kind in Sub-Saharan West Africa dedicated to training teachers and professionals in Special Education. The College admits students from across Nigeria, providing quality education and specialized training for individuals interested in teaching learners with special needs.

The admission screening exercise has been scheduled for Thursday, 24th September, 2026, and qualified candidates are invited to apply before the application deadline.

  • 5-Year Dual Mode Degree Programme (3-Year NCE and 2-Year Degree)

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates seeking admission must meet the following requirements:

  • Candidates who selected Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME.
  • Candidates who did not initially choose the College can also apply after changing their first-choice institution to the College through JAMB.
  • Candidates who did not sit for the 2026 UTME are also eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must possess a minimum of four (4) O'Level credit passes in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or NBAIS.
  • Candidates must be at least 16 years old by 30th September, 2026.

How to Apply

Interested candidates should follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the official application portal: https://dualmode.fcesoyo.edu.ng
  2. Pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 via the Remita platform.
  3. Pay an additional ₦700 processing fee for the admission application.
  4. Candidates who did not sit for the 2026 UTME must pay ₦3,500 for JAMB registration at the College's approved Institutional Professional Registration Centre (IPRC).
  5. Complete the online application form carefully.
  6. Upload a passport photograph (JPEG/JPG format, white background, not exceeding 100KB) and scanned copies of O'Level results.
  7. Print the completed application form after successful registration.

O'Level Verification Fees

Candidates are also required to pay the following verification fees:

  • ₦1,500 for one sitting O'Level result.
  • ₦2,000 for two sittings.

Required Documents for the Screening Exercise

Applicants are expected to present the following during the screening exercise:

  • Two copies of the UTME e-Notification of Result Slip.
  • Original and photocopy of the completed online screening application form.
  • Original and photocopies of WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, GCE, or NBAIS results.
  • Change of Institution slip (for candidates who changed to the College).
  • Evidence that O'Level results have been uploaded to the JAMB CAPS portal.
  • Candidates awaiting results may also apply but must upload their results to JAMB CAPS once released.
