FEDERAL UNIVERSITY GUSAU RELEASES 2026/2027 FIRST BATCH ADMISSION LIST

The management of Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) has released the first batch admission list for candidates who applied for admission into the university for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Candidates whose names appear on the list have been offered provisional admission into the various programmes indicated against their names.

FUGUS REGISTRATION COMMENCES

According to the university’s announcement, registration for the 2026/2027 academic session commenced on Monday, September 14, 2026.

Admitted candidates are expected to follow the approved registration stages and present all required documents during the registration exercise.

FUGUS ADMISSION REGISTRATION STAGES

The registration process will involve the following stages:

1. Checking of admission status and issuance of files.
2. Verification of acceptance fee Remita by the Bursary representative.
3. Verification of credentials.
4. Confirmation of candidates.
5. Printing of admission letters.
6. Signing of admission letters by the Academic Secretary.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR FRESH STUDENTS’ REGISTRATION

Freshly admitted students are expected to provide the following documents:

1. JAMB Admission Letter, for institution use only.
2. JAMB Result Slip.
3. Evidence of acceptance fee payment, including the Remita receipt.
4. Original and photocopies of credentials, such as WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or NBAIS.
5. SSCE Testimonial.
6. Primary School Certificate and Testimonial.
7. Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age.
8. Certificate of Indigene.
9. Four copies of passport-sized photographs.
10. Letter of Undertaking.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ADMITTED STUDENTS

The university’s registration committee is expected to ensure the following during the registration process:

• Harmonisation of candidates’ names across their credentials.
• Harmonisation and verification of dates of birth.
• Compliance with the university’s student character and dress code.

Candidates are therefore advised to ensure that their personal information is consistent across all documents and to appear appropriately dressed during registration.

All candidates offered provisional admission into Federal University Gusau for the 2026/2027 academic session are encouraged to commence their registration promptly and provide all required documents.
