The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the dates for the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream One Orientation Course for prospective corps members across Nigeria.
According to the announcement, the three-week orientation exercise will commence on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, and end on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
The orientation course will take place in all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The major dates for the orientation exercise are as follows:
- Orientation Course Begins: Wednesday, September 30, 2026
- Registration Begins: Wednesday, September 30, 2026
- Registration Ends: Friday, October 2, 2026
- Swearing-In Ceremony: Friday, October 2, 2026
- Orientation Course Ends: Tuesday, October 20, 2026
ADVICE TO PROSPECTIVE CORPS MEMBERS
Prospective corps members are advised to make adequate preparations ahead of their journey to their respective orientation camps.
The NYSC management also urged prospective corps members to:
- Avoid night travel.
- Use designated motor parks when boarding vehicles.
- Plan their journeys early to arrive safely at their assigned camps.
- Follow all instructions issued by NYSC officials and camp authorities.
NYSC DIRECTOR-GENERAL SENDS GOODWILL MESSAGE
The Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier Olakunle Nafiu, wished all prospective corps members and course officials safe trips to their respective orientation camps.
All prospective corps members are encouraged to stay updated through official NYSC communication channels and prepare properly for the commencement of the orientation exercise.
