FUADSI RELEASES 2026/2027 ACADEMIC CALENDAR, RESUMPTION SET FOR NOVEMBER 2

The Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji (FUADSI), has released its approved academic calendar for the 2026/2027 academic session, with academic activities scheduled to commence on Monday, November 2, 2026.

According to the approved calendar, registration for fresh students will begin on November 2, 2026, and end on Tuesday, December 15, 2026. Registration for returning students will commence on Monday, November 9, 2026, and close on Tuesday, December 15, 2026.

KEY DATES FOR THE FIRST SEMESTER

• November 2, 2026: Commencement of the academic session and registration for fresh students.
  • November 6, 2026: End of the orientation programme for fresh students.
  • November 9, 2026: Lectures begin for all students and registration begins for returning students.
  • December 17, 2026: Late registration with a penalty begins.
  • December 24, 2026 – January 3, 2027: First-semester break.
  • January 4–8, 2027: Continuous assessment test.
  • January 29, 2027: End of first-semester lectures.
  • February 1–5, 2027: Lecture-free week and uploading of continuous assessment results.
  • February 8–26, 2027: First-semester examinations.
  • March 1–12, 2027: First-semester break and processing of examination results.

SECOND SEMESTER SCHEDULE

According to the calendar, the second semester will commence on Monday, March 15, 2027, with lectures beginning the same day.

Other important dates include:

• April 5–9, 2027: Continuous assessment test.
  • June 4, 2027: End of lectures for the 2026/2027 academic session.
  • June 7–11, 2027: Students' week, lecture-free week and uploading of continuous assessment results.
  • June 9, 2027: Orientation for students embarking on the Students' Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).
  • June 14 – July 2, 2027: Second-semester examinations.
  • July 5–23, 2027: Processing and uploading of second-semester examination results.
  • July 29, 2027: Official end of the 2026/2027 academic session.

SIWES PROGRAMME AND STAFF LEAVE

The university has scheduled the commencement of the Students' Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) programme for Monday, August 2, 2027.

Academic staff are expected to proceed on 30 working days of leave from Friday, July 30, to Thursday, September 9, 2027, except for specified university officials required to remain at their duty posts.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO STUDENTS

Fresh and returning students are advised to take note of the approved dates and make the necessary preparations for the new academic session. Students should also ensure they complete their registration within the stipulated period to avoid late-registration penalties.
