Gombe State University (GSU) has directed all prospective candidates participating in the 2026/2027 admission exercise to upload their O'Level results to their JAMB profiles.

The directive follows the commencement of the university's 2026/2027 admission exercise and the release of the 2026 O'Level examination results.

The university stated that the directive is specifically for candidates who selected Gombe State University as their First Choice and have completed both the online and physical screening exercises.

GSU ADMISSION CANDIDATES TO UPLOAD O'LEVEL RESULTS

According to the university, all concerned candidates are required to upload their O'Level results to their JAMB Portal.

Accepted O'Level results include:

  • West African Examinations Council (WAEC)
  • National Examinations Council (NECO)
  • National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB)
  • National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS)

Candidates who have recently received their 2026 O'Level results are particularly advised to ensure that their results are uploaded to their JAMB profiles.

DEADLINE FOR O'LEVEL RESULT UPLOAD

The university has set Wednesday, September 30, 2026, as the deadline for the upload of O'Level results.

All affected candidates are therefore advised to complete the process on or before September 30, 2026.

The university described the directive as urgent and urged candidates to ensure compliance within the stipulated period.

WHO IS REQUIRED TO UPLOAD THE RESULT?

The directive applies to prospective candidates who:

  • Selected Gombe State University as their First Choice institution.
  • Are participating in the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
  • Have completed the university's online screening exercise.
  • Have completed the required physical screening exercise.
  • Have obtained their WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or NBAIS O'Level results.

Candidates who fall within these categories are advised to confirm that their O'Level results are correctly uploaded to their JAMB profiles.

WHY THE O'LEVEL UPLOAD IS IMPORTANT

O'Level results are an important part of the admission process, as they are used to determine whether candidates meet the required subject and grade conditions for their chosen programmes.

Candidates who fail to upload their results within the stipulated period may encounter difficulties during the admission processing exercise.

Those who have already uploaded their results are also advised to verify that the correct results and subjects are reflected on their JAMB profiles.

CANDIDATES ADVISED TO ACT BEFORE THE DEADLINE

With the deadline set for September 30, 2026, candidates are encouraged not to wait until the final day before completing the upload.

Candidates who encounter challenges with the process should seek assistance through appropriate JAMB-approved channels or accredited centres.

They should also keep evidence of their successful O'Level result upload for future reference.
