GOMBE STATE UNIVERSITY (GOMSU) SRC ISSUES WARNING AGAINST VANDALIZATION OF HOSTEL FACILITIES
The Students' Representative Council (SRC) of the Gombe State University (GOMSU) expresses serious concern over the recent vandalization of facilities in the newly renovated male hostel.
This renovation was achieved through sustained engagement with the University Management to improve students' welfare. It is therefore unacceptable for a few individuals to destroy facilities meant for the benefit of all.
Students are hereby reminded that the hostel is a shared property and must be protected.
This is a final warning: Any student found vandalizing or deliberately damaging any hostel facility will be reported to the appropriate University authorities for disciplinary action. Sanctions may include payment for damages, withdrawal of hostel accommodation, rustication, or expulsion, in accordance with the University's regulations.
The SRC will not shield anyone found responsible for vandalism but will fully support the University in identifying and sanctioning offenders.
All students are urged to protect these facilities and report any act of vandalism to the Hall Management or the SRC.
Let this serve as a FINAL WARNING. Any further act of vandalism will attract the full weight of the University's disciplinary procedures. Thank you!
