IBRAHIM BADAMASI BABANGIDA UNIVERSITY (IBBUL), LAPAI – MID-SEMESTER BREAK NOTICE
The Management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, through the Office of the Deputy Registrar (Information), formally notifies all parents, guardians, and the student body of a scheduled Mid-Semester Break.
This brief recess has been declared to allow the university community to observe the 2026 Easter festivities. The university administration remains committed to balancing academic rigor with the statutory observance of national and religious holidays.
BREAK DURATION AND KEY DATES
The Senate and Management have ratified the following timeline for the recess:
- Commencement of Break: Thursday, 2nd April, 2026.
- Duration: One (1) Week.
- Conclusion of Break: Wednesday, 8th April, 2026.
This break is specifically designated to mark this year's Good Friday and Easter Monday celebrations, providing students and staff the opportunity for spiritual reflection and rest.
RESUMPTION OF ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES
To ensure the timely completion of the current semester’s syllabus, all students are expected to strictly adhere to the resumption date:
- Mandatory Resumption: Thursday, 9th April, 2026.
- Lecture Continuity: Full academic activities, including lectures and practicals, will resume immediately on the day of return.
Students are advised to utilize this period effectively for private study while observing the holidays, as the academic calendar remains tightly scheduled following the break.

Students residing in the university hostels are encouraged to secure their belongings before departing for the break. The University Security Unit will remain on high alert during the recess to ensure the safety of campus property.
