JOSEPH AYO BABALOLA UNIVERSITY (JABU) TO HOLD 3RD NURSING INDUCTION AND OATH-TAKING CEREMONY

Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU), Osun State, is set to hold its 3rd Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony for Nursing graduates.

The ceremony, organised by the university, will celebrate the successful completion of the nursing programme by the graduating inductees as they formally take their professional oath and begin the next stage of their careers in the nursing profession.

The event will be held under the theme:

“Nursing Without Borders: Creating Global Opportunities While Making Local Impact.”

DATE, TIME AND VENUE

The 3rd Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony has been scheduled as follows:

Date: Tuesday, September 22, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Venue: Oba Oladele Olashore Auditorium, Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.

GUEST LECTURER

The guest lecturer for the ceremony is Professor O. A. Onasoga.

The ceremony will be hosted by Dr. M.K. Paul, while the Vice-Chancellor of Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Professor O.A. Fakolujo, will serve as the Chief Host.

The Dean, College of Health Sciences, Professor J.A. Folayan, will serve as the Co-Host.

NMCN REGISTRAR TO CHAIR INDUCTION COMMITTEE

Also expected at the ceremony is the Registrar/CEO of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), Alhaji Dr. Alhasan Ndagi.

He will serve as the Chairman of the Induction Committee for the ceremony.

THEME OF THE CEREMONY

The theme, “Nursing Without Borders: Creating Global Opportunities While Making Local Impact,” focuses on the expanding opportunities available to nursing professionals and the role nurses can play both locally and internationally.

The ceremony is expected to provide an opportunity to highlight the professional responsibilities of nurses and the importance of making meaningful contributions to healthcare while exploring opportunities beyond Nigeria.

A MILESTONE FOR JABU NURSING GRADUATES

The induction and oath-taking ceremony represents an important milestone for the university’s nursing graduates as they formally take their professional oath and transition into the next phase of their careers.
