The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has released its admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session.

This is to inform all candidates who participated in the 2026/2027 Admission Screening Exercise that they can now proceed to check their admission status to confirm whether they have been offered provisional admission into the University.

UNICAL 2026/2027 ADMISSION LIST

The list of successful candidates has been uploaded online through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

Candidates are advised to check their admission status on JAMB CAPS using the procedure outlined below.

HOW TO CHECK UNICAL ADMISSION STATUS ON JAMB CAPS

Candidates should follow these steps:

  1. Visit the JAMB e-Facility portal and log in with their registered email address and password.
  2. Click on “Check Admission Status.”
  3. Click on “Access my CAPS.”
  4. Select “Admission Status” to check if an admission offer has been made.

If admission has been offered, the candidate will see a congratulatory message indicating the admission offer, alongside their passport photograph.

Candidates who have not yet been offered admission may see the message:

“Sorry, No Admission has been Given Yet.”

Candidates are advised to continue checking their JAMB CAPS regularly if they have not been offered admission yet.

HOW TO ACCEPT OR REJECT UNICAL ADMISSION

Candidates who have been offered admission can proceed to accept or reject the admission offer.

According to the admission information, candidates can accept or reject their admission by sending ACCEPT or REJECT as an SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the phone number linked to their JAMB profile.

Candidates have four weeks to accept their admission offer.

Those who no longer have access to the phone number registered with JAMB are advised to visit a JAMB-accredited centre to complete the acceptance or rejection process.

PRINT YOUR JAMB ADMISSION LETTER

Candidates who have accepted their admission are advised to print their JAMB Admission Letter.

The admission letter may be required during the clearance and registration process at the University of Calabar.

Candidates should therefore ensure that they complete the necessary JAMB procedures after accepting their admission offer.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR CANDIDATES USING PHONES
