JOSEPH SARWUAN TARKA UNIVERSITY, MAKURDI RELEASES 2026/2027 POST-UTME AND DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION FORM
The management of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi (JOSTUM) has officially commenced the sale of its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry admission forms for qualified candidates seeking admission into the University's undergraduate programmes.
Applications are invited from candidates who selected Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), as well as candidates willing to change their institution to JOSTUM.
The online application portal opened on Monday, 1st June 2026, and the registration exercise closes on Friday, 19th June 2026.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the screening exercise, candidates must:
- Score 150 or above in the 2026 UTME.
- Be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2026.
- Possess a minimum of five (5) O'Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Direct Entry applicants must possess the required A'Level qualifications in addition to the relevant O'Level requirements.
Application Fee
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 (excluding bank and service charges).

Applicants are required to first generate their Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) through the University's official portal before making payment.

Payment can be made using any of the following methods:
- ATM Card
- USSD
- Bank Transfer
After successful payment, candidates should complete the online application form, provide accurate personal and academic information, and print their completed application slip.
The University has advised applicants to regularly visit the admission portal for updates on the Post-UTME screening schedule and other admission-related information.
Important Notice
All candidates must upload their O'Level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent) on the JAMB CAPS through any accredited JAMB CBT Centre or JAMB office. Failure to upload results on JAMB CAPS will automatically disqualify candidates from admission consideration.
Candidates are also encouraged to check the approved departmental cut-off marks for their preferred programmes through the University's admission portal.
Prospective applicants should complete their registration before the deadline to avoid missing the opportunity to participate in the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
