Mercy Medical University Begins Admission for 2026/2027 Academic Session
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the degree programmes of Mercy Medical University for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
The university announced that admission is open for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates seeking admission into its various undergraduate programmes.
UTME Admission Requirements
All prospective candidates seeking admission through UTME must:
- Have participated in the 2026 UTME Examination
- Obtain a minimum score of 150
- Choose Mercy Medical University as their first choice institution
Candidates who did not initially choose the university as first choice are advised to visit any JAMB Accredited CBT Centre or JAMB Office to process a Change of Institution to Mercy Medical University before applying.
Applicants are also required to possess at least:
*Five (5) O’Level Credit passes* in relevant subjects including:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
The results must be obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
Direct Entry Admission Requirements
Candidates applying through Direct Entry must:
- Obtain the JAMB Direct Entry Form
- Possess five relevant O’Level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
In addition, applicants must possess any of the following qualifications:
- IJMB
- JUBEP
- National Diploma (ND) with at least Lower Credit
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of *Second Class Lower (2:2)*
- Cambridge Advanced Level qualification
The university also announced that Inter-University Transfer Admission into 200 Level is available across all degree programmes.
Method of Application
Candidates who selected Mercy Medical University as first choice are expected to visit the university portal to complete their admission application.

Candidates who did not choose the university initially but wish to apply are advised to first process a Change of Institution through JAMB before proceeding with the application on the university portal.
After Submission of Application
After completing the online application process successfully, candidates will receive a confirmation message through their email address.
Applicants are expected to:
- Print or save their application confirmation slip
- Regularly check their email and the university portal for admission updates
Important Notice to Applicants
The university clarified that it does not conduct Post-UTME examinations.
Admission will be based strictly on online screening of results and submitted credentials, without any physical screening exercise.
Candidates are therefore advised to ensure all details provided during application are accurate and complete.
