MICHAEL OKPARA UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE, UMUDIKE DISOWNS FAKE RESUMPTION MEMO, CONFIRMS 2026/2027 DATES

The management of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), Abia State, has disowned a fake memorandum circulating on social media claiming that the resumption dates for the 2026/2027 academic session have been changed.

The university clarified that the purported internal memorandum, dated October 24, 2026, is fake and should be disregarded by students, parents, guardians, staff and members of the public.

In a notice signed by the Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Nkeiruka Charity Mbanasor, the management confirmed that the previously approved resumption dates remain unchanged.

MOUAU Approved Resumption Dates for 2026/2027

According to the university, the approved resumption schedule is as follows:

• New students: Sunday, October 25, 2026.
  • Returning students: Sunday, November 1, 2026.

The management stressed that no further changes to the approved dates have been authorised.

The university has urged students and other members of its community to disregard the false information contained in the circulating document and adhere to the officially approved resumption schedule.
