MODIBBO ADAMA UNIVERSITY DISMISSES FAKE NOTICE ON POSTPONEMENT OF 2025/2026 SECOND SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS

The management of Modibbo Adama University (MAU) has dismissed a circular currently circulating on social media, which purportedly announced the postponement of the 2025/2026 Second Semester Examinations scheduled to commence on Monday, 14th September 2026.

According to the University Management, the fake announcement, purportedly issued by the Registrar and dated 1st September 2026, claimed that the examinations had been extended to an unspecified date in the following month due to an expected meeting between the Federal Government and academic staff to avert a proposed two-week strike.

MODIBBO ADAMA UNIVERSITY SAYS CIRCULAR IS FAKE

The University Management has clarified that the circulating announcement is FAKE and did not originate from the Registrar or any organ of the University Management.

The institution has therefore urged staff and students to disregard the fake circular and rely only on genuine and official communications from the University.

EXAMINATIONS TO COMMENCE AS SCHEDULED

For the avoidance of doubt, Modibbo Adama University has confirmed that the 2025/2026 Second Semester Examinations will commence on Monday, 14th September 2026, as originally scheduled.

Students are advised to remain focused on their studies and make the necessary preparations for their examinations.

The University Management also condemned the actions of those responsible for the circulation of the fake announcement, stating that students should not be misled by unofficial information circulating on social media.

The University wished all students a successful 2025/2026 Second Semester Examination and encouraged them to remain law-abiding and attentive to official information from the institution.

Students are advised to disregard the fake postponement notice and continue preparing for their examinations as scheduled.
