NIGERIA POLICE ACADEMY (POLAC), WUDIL COMMENCEMENT OF POSTGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMMES
The Nigeria Police Academy is advancing its academic infrastructure as it prepares to officially launch its postgraduate degree programmes. In a significant move toward this goal, the Academy hosted a high-level resource verification team from the *National Universities Commission (NUC)*.
I. NUC RESOURCE VERIFICATION VISIT
The verification process is a mandatory requirement to ensure the Academy meets the national standards for advanced degree offerings.
- Leadership: The NUC delegation was led by Prof. Maxwell Gidado SAN, OON, accompanied by 17 other commission officials.
- Hosting: The team was received by the 24th Commandant, AIG Patrick A. Atayero, alongside the Academy’s management.
II. STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
The introduction of postgraduate studies at the Academy is designed to enhance the professional capacity of the Force:
- Officer Development: Equipping officers with advanced knowledge, critical thinking, and leadership skills.

- Vision Alignment: This initiative supports the vision of the 23rd indigenous Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, who prioritizes continuous learning and professionalism.
