The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has officially released the 2026/2027 undergraduate admission list for candidates who participated in the university’s admission screening exercise.
Prospective students who applied for admission into UNIZIK can now check their admission status through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
The released admission list contains the names of candidates who have been offered provisional admission into various undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
How to Check UNIZIK Admission Status on JAMB CAPS
Candidates should follow the steps below to check whether they have been offered admission:
- Visit the JAMB e-Facility Portal: https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/
- Log in using your registered email address and password.
- Click on “Check Admission Status.”
- Select “Access My CAPS.”
- Click on “Admission Status” to view your admission details.
If you have been offered admission, your admission status will be displayed on the portal.
Accept or Reject the Admission Offer
Candidates who have received admission offers are advised to immediately indicate their decision by clicking either:
- ACCEPT – to accept the admission offer.
- REJECT – if they do not wish to accept the offer.
Accepting the admission offer on JAMB CAPS is a mandatory requirement before candidates can proceed with further admission and registration processes.
What If Your Status Is Still Pending?
Candidates whose admission status shows:
- Admission Still in Progress
- Not Admitted
should not panic.
The admission exercise is ongoing, and additional names are expected to be uploaded in subsequent batches. Candidates are therefore advised to continue checking their JAMB CAPS regularly for updates.

Successful candidates should ensure they:
- Accept their admission promptly on JAMB CAPS.
- Print their JAMB Admission Letter after acceptance.
- Print their Original JAMB Result Slip if required.
- Monitor Nnamdi Azikiwe University’s official portal for information on acceptance fees, clearance, and registration procedures.
Candidates awaiting admission should also confirm that their O’Level results have been uploaded on JAMB CAPS, as this remains a key requirement for admission processing.
