SOKOTO STATE UNIVERSITY RELEASES FIRST BATCH ADMISSION LIST FOR 2026/2027 SESSION
Sokoto State University (SSU) has announced the release of its First Batch Admission List for candidates seeking admission into the university for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Candidates who participated in the admission process are advised to check the released list to confirm whether they have been offered admission.
The university has also advised candidates to check their admission status on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) and accept their admission offers where applicable.
HOW TO CHECK THE SSU FIRST BATCH ADMISSION LIST
Candidates can view the released admission list through the official admission notice provided by Sokoto State University.

Candidates are advised to carefully check the list for their names and confirm the programme offered to them.
CHECK JAMB CAPS AND ACCEPT YOUR ADMISSION
Candidates who have been offered admission are advised to also log into their JAMB CAPS profile to check their admission status.
Those who have received an admission offer should proceed to accept the admission on JAMB CAPS.
Accepting the admission on JAMB CAPS is an important step in completing the admission process, as the university will need the candidate's admission to be properly reflected on the JAMB platform.
Sokoto State University has previously advised admitted candidates to accept their admission through JAMB and print their JAMB Admission Letter.
UPLOAD YOUR SSCE RESULT ON JAMB PORTAL
Candidates who are yet to upload their SSCE/O'Level results on the JAMB portal are strongly advised to do so as soon as possible.
The university has stated that candidates who do not upload their O'Level results may not be processed for admission. SSU previously directed candidates to upload their WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, NBAIS or other recognised O'Level results at a JAMB-accredited CBT centre.
Candidates should therefore ensure that their O'Level results are properly uploaded and reflected on their JAMB profile.
IMPORTANT STEPS FOR ADMITTED CANDIDATES
Candidates who find their names on the first batch admission list should:
- Check their admission status on JAMB CAPS.
- Accept the admission offer on JAMB CAPS.
- Upload their SSCE/O'Level result if they have not already done so.
- Print their JAMB Admission Letter after accepting the admission.
- Continue to monitor the university's official platforms for further instructions on screening, registration and resumption.
SSU ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Sokoto State University states that undergraduate candidates are expected to meet the relevant entry requirements for their programmes. These generally include the required O'Level credits and UTME requirements applicable to the chosen programme.
Candidates should ensure that the information and credentials uploaded to JAMB and submitted during the admission process are accurate.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Candidates are advised to rely on official university communication and JAMB CAPS for confirmation of their admission status.
