The management of Sokoto State University (SSU), Sokoto, has officially commenced the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) online screening registration for candidates seeking admission into the institution.

The screening exercise is open to candidates who selected Sokoto State University as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored a minimum of 150. The online screening exercise begins on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

Eligible candidates are advised to complete their online screening registration within the stipulated period, as only applicants who successfully complete the screening process will be considered for admission.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the screening exercise, candidates must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Must have selected Sokoto State University (SSU) as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME.
  • Must have scored 150 and above in the 2026 UTME.
  • Must possess at least five (5) O'Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • Candidates must upload their O'Level results to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
  • Direct Entry (DE) candidates are required to upload scanned copies of their A'Level qualifications such as ND, NCE, IJMB, Diploma, or other approved qualifications.

Candidates should complete their application through the official SSU screening portal:

  1. Visit the application portal.
  2. Enter your JAMB Registration Number to confirm your eligibility.
  3. Review your programme requirements using the More Information option.
  4. Click Apply Now.
  5. Sign in using your Google account or create a new account using a valid email address and phone number.
  6. Complete your profile and proceed to payment.
  7. Pay the ₦2,000 screening fee (excluding transaction charges).
  8. Complete the online application form carefully.
  9. Preview your application.
  10. Submit the completed form online.

Candidates can also review their payment status through the Transaction History section on the application portal.

Important Information

The university has emphasized that:

  • The screening exercise is strictly online.
  • There will be no Post-UTME examination.
  • Only candidates who successfully complete the online screening will be considered for admission.
  • All applicants must ensure their O'Level results have been uploaded on JAMB CAPS before admission processing.
