TARABA STATE UNIVERSITY (TASU) GETS NUC APPROVAL FOR 24 NEW UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

Taraba State University has recorded another major academic milestone as the National Universities Commission (NUC) approved 24 new undergraduate programmes for the institution, effective from the 2026/2027 academic session.

The approval was secured under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sunday Paul Bako, alongside members of the university management team, following a successful resource verification exercise conducted by the NUC.

According to the approval letter issued by the Commission, the newly approved programmes are to run in full-time mode at the university’s main campus in Jalingo.

The newly approved programmes are as follows;

2. B.A. Christian Theology
3. B.A. Philosophy
4. B.A. Religious Studies
5. B.A. African Traditional Religion
6. B.A. Classics
7. B.Sc. Advertisement
8. B.Sc. Broadcasting
9. B.Sc. Journalism and Media Studies
10. B.Sc. Public Relations
11. B.Sc. Data Science
12. B.Sc. Information and Communication Technology
13. B.Sc. Software Engineering
14. B.Sc. Human Anatomy
15. B.Sc. Human Physiology
16. B.RAD. Radiology
17. B.Sc. Banking and Finance
18. B.Sc. Meteorology and Climate Studies
19. B.Sc. Survey and Geo-Informatics
20. B.Ed. Special Needs Education
21. B.Ed. Entrepreneurship
22. B.Ed. Sustainable Development Studies
23. B.Ed. Human Kinetics
24. B.Ed. Health Education
