UNIPORT Announces Direct Entry Admission Screening Exercise for 2026/2027 Academic Session

The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has officially commenced the Direct Entry Admission Screening Exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session. The institution hereby invites all candidates who selected the University as their preferred choice for Direct Entry admission to register for the screening exercise through the university’s official portal.

Candidates are required to visit the university website and complete the online application form by providing detailed academic and personal information relevant to their admission process.

Required Information for Screening

Applicants are expected to provide the following:

  • Details of qualifying examinations for Direct Entry admission
  • O’Level results and A’Level/Diploma/NCE/JUPEB/IJMB/Degree qualifications
  • Grades, pass levels, and CGPA where applicable
  • Valid JAMB Registration Number

Registration Period

The online registration portal will open from:

Friday, 15th May, 2026 – Friday, 19th June, 2026

Candidates are strongly advised to complete their applications before the deadline, as the portal will automatically close at midnight on Friday, 19th June, 2026.

Registration Procedure

Candidates should carefully follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the University website at *www.uniport.edu.ng*
    1. Input JAMB Registration Number and confirm preloaded details
    2. Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code for payment
    3. Pay the screening fee of ₦2,000 only online or at any bank using the Remita platform
    4. Obtain a Remita receipt with an Access Code confirming payment
    5. Return to the portal and log in using the JAMB Registration Number
    6. Complete and submit the online screening form

Submission of Documents

After completing the online registration, candidates are required to submit photocopies of the following documents:

  • JAMB Direct Entry Slip
  • Birth Certificate or Age Declaration
  • O’Level Results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, GCE, etc.)
  • A’Level/Diploma/NCE/JUPEB/IJMB/Degree certificates and transcripts showing CGPA where applicable

Important Information for Applicants

  • Candidates must ensure consistency in their names across all documents, as discrepancies may lead to disqualification.
  • Applicants must be at least sixteen (16) years old by September 2026.
  • All candidates must upload their results to the JAMB CAPS portal to be considered for admission.
  • Applicants are advised to use their personal phone numbers and valid email addresses during registration.
  • Registration is strictly online, and candidates are not required to visit the university campus for the application process.
