UNIVERSITY OF BENIN OPENS ACCEPTANCE FEE PAYMENT PORTAL FOR 2026/2027 ADMITTED CANDIDATES
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced the commencement of Acceptance Fee payment for candidates offered provisional admission into the institution for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
According to the University Management, the portal for the payment of the prescribed Acceptance Fee officially opened on Monday, August 24, 2026.
CANDIDATES MUST FIRST ACCEPT ADMISSION ON JAMB CAPS
The University advised all newly admitted candidates who have not yet accepted their admission offers to do so immediately through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
UNIBEN explained that accepting an admission offer on JAMB CAPS is a mandatory requirement before candidates can proceed with other admission, clearance and registration processes.
Candidates who fail to complete this step will not be able to continue with the University's admission procedures.
HOW TO PAY THE ACCEPTANCE FEE
After accepting their admission on JAMB CAPS, candidates are required to log in to the University of Benin Admission Portal to confirm their admission status and proceed with the payment of the prescribed Acceptance Fee.
Applicants are advised to carefully follow all instructions on the portal and ensure that payments are made only through the University's approved payment platform.
DEADLINE FOR PAYMENT
The University has fixed Monday, September 21, 2026, as the deadline for the payment of the Acceptance Fee.
According to the institution, the deadline is four weeks from the date the payment portal was opened.
Candidates are strongly advised to complete the payment process well before the deadline to avoid any last-minute difficulties.
FAILURE TO PAY MAY LEAD TO LOSS OF ADMISSION
UNIBEN warned that candidates who fail to pay the prescribed Acceptance Fee within the stipulated period may have their admission offers withdrawn.
The University therefore urged all admitted candidates to take the payment deadline seriously and complete the process as early as possible.
Candidates are also advised to retain their payment receipts and every other relevant document, as they will be required during the clearance and registration exercises.
UNIVERSITY URGES CANDIDATES TO FOLLOW OFFICIAL CHANNELS
The University encouraged newly admitted students to regularly monitor its official communication channels for authentic information and updates regarding admission, clearance, registration and other academic activities.
The Management congratulated all successful candidates on their admission into the University of Benin and expressed its anticipation of welcoming them into the institution for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
Admitted candidates are advised to complete all admission formalities within the stipulated timeframe to secure their admission successfully.
