UNIVERSITY OF MAIDUGURI EXTENDS 2026/2027 HOSTEL ONLINE BOOKING DEADLINE
The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) has announced an extension of the deadline for the Hostel Online Booking exercise for the forthcoming 2026/2027 Academic Session.
The announcement was contained in a notice dated 15th September 2026, issued by the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs.
According to the university, the revised schedule is intended to give interested students additional time to complete their hostel booking and payment processes.
UPDATED HOSTEL BOOKING SCHEDULE
- Hostel Online Booking Commencement: Wednesday, 30th September 2026
- Opening Time: 8:00 PM
- New Closing Date: Saturday, 31st October 2026
- Closing Time: 12:00 AM (Midnight)
- Booking Portal: umstad.online
PRE-REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
All interested students are advised to visit the Microfinance Bank to purchase their hostel PIN before the booking exercise begins.
Students must also ensure that their PIN is properly validated ahead of the portal opening on 30th September 2026.
HOSTEL BOOKING AND PAYMENT PROCEDURE
Students are required to complete the following steps after securing a hostel space:
- Complete the online hostel booking through the designated portal.
- Make payment immediately after completing the booking.
- Verify the payment on the portal.
- Print the official Hostel Permit and Hostel Receipt.
The university emphasized that hostel accommodation allocation will not be finalized until students complete the payment verification process and print both required documents.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO STUDENTS
Students are strongly advised not to delay payment after completing their online booking, as temporary reservations may expire if payment is not made promptly.
The university further warned that students who fail to follow the required procedure and do not print their Hostel Permit and Hostel Receipt will not be attended to under any circumstances.
All interested students are therefore encouraged to purchase and validate their hostel PIN early, complete the booking process within the approved period and keep their payment evidence and printed documents safe.
