UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA (UNN) RELEASES 2026/2027 POST-UTME/DE SCREENING FORM

The UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, NSUKKA (UNN) has officially released its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Screening Form for candidates seeking admission into the institution's undergraduate programmes.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who selected UNN as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained a minimum score of 160. Qualified Direct Entry candidates who also chose the University as their first choice are equally invited to participate in the online screening exercise.

Interested applicants are advised to complete their registration within the stipulated registration period and ensure that all required documents are uploaded correctly.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for the screening exercise, candidates must:

  • Select University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) as their first-choice institution in the 2026 UTME.
  • Obtain a minimum score of 160 in the 2026 UTME.
  • Ensure that the names on their WAEC/NECO results correspond exactly with the names used during JAMB registration.
  • Be at least 16 years old on or before September 30, 2026.
  • Upload their O'Level results on both the JAMB CAPS and the UNN Portal before the application deadline.

Candidates awaiting the release of the November/December 2026 WAEC GCE or NECO results are not eligible to apply.

REGISTRATION PERIOD

Online registration begins on:

  • Wednesday, July 15, 2026

Registration closes on:

  • Wednesday, August 5, 2026 (11:59 p.m.)

Candidates are advised to complete their registration well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.

SCREENING FEES

Applicants are required to pay:

  • Application Fee: ₦2,000
  • Processing Fee: ₦3,300

Payments should be made through the Remita Platform using any commercial bank or by paying online with a valid ATM card.

HOW TO APPLY

Eligible candidates should:

  1. Visit the official UNN website at https://unn.edu.ng.
  2. Click on UNN Portal.
  3. Select Prospective Students.
  4. Choose Online Application Form for 2026/2027 Admission Screening Exercise.
  5. Enter your JAMB Registration Number.
  6. Generate your Remita invoice.
  7. Make the required payment.
  8. Return to the portal and complete the online application.
  9. Enter your O'Level subjects and grades correctly.
  10. Upload all required documents.
  11. Preview your application.
  12. Submit and print the acknowledgement slip.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants should upload clear copies of the following documents:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Local Government Identification Certificate
  • School Testimonial
  • First School Leaving Certificate
  • JAMB Result Slip
  • O'Level Result (First Sitting)
  • O'Level Result (Second Sitting, where applicable)

Each uploaded document must not exceed 100KB.

DIRECT ENTRY APPLICANTS

Direct Entry candidates who selected UNN as their first-choice institution are also required to register for the screening exercise.

Applicants must ensure that their A'Level qualifications submitted to JAMB have been verified through the Nigerian Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System (NIPEDS) before they can be considered for admission.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

  • Candidates must upload their O'Level results to both JAMB CAPS and the UNN Portal on or before Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
  • Only candidates who complete the online screening successfully will be considered for admission.
  • Candidates should ensure all personal information, examination details, and uploaded documents are accurate before submission.
  • Incorrect information or failure to meet the admission requirements may lead to disqualification.
