2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION – KOGI STATE POLYTECHNIC (KSP), LOKOJA

The Management of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its Higher National Diploma (HND) and Part-Time (ND/HND) programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

I. HND PROGRAMMES BY SCHOOLS

KSP offers advanced technical and vocational training across several specialized schools:

• School of Applied Sciences: Computer Science (Software/Web Development, Networking/Cloud Computing), Statistics, and Science Laboratory Technology (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Biology, Microbiology).
• School of Engineering Technology: Mineral/Petroleum Resources (Mining, Geological, Mineral Processing), Electrical/Electronic (Power & Machine, Telecommunications), Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Metallurgical & Material Engineering.
• School of Environmental Technology: Urban and Regional Planning, Architectural Technology, Building Technology, and Surveying and Geoinformatics.
• School of Management Studies: Accountancy, Business Administration, Public Administration, Library and Information Science, and Office Technology and Management.
• School of Art, Design and Printing: Industrial Design (Graphics, Textiles, Ceramics) and Fine Arts (Painting, Sculpture).

II. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND DURATION

• Academic Standard: Candidates must possess a National Diploma (ND) in a relevant field with a minimum of Lower Credit (CGPA of 2.50).
• O’Level Requirements: Five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at no more than two sittings.
• Industrial Training (IT): One year of compulsory IT for Lower Credit holders or two years for those with a Pass grade.
• Transcripts: All HND applicants must ensure their academic transcripts are sent directly to the Registrar, Kogi State Polytechnic.

III. PART-TIME PROGRAMMES AND STUDY CENTRES

• Study Centres: Lokoja, Anyigba, Kabba, and Okene.
• Available Courses: Accountancy, Business Administration, Computer Science, Public Administration, OTM, Library Science, and Diploma in Law.
• Duration: ND (6 Semesters) and HND (5 Semesters).

IV. APPLICATION METHOD AND FEES

• Online Portal: Applications are accessed via https://portal.kogistatepolytechnic.edu.ng.
• Payment Structure: Candidates must generate two separate RRR numbers for the following:
  * Admission Form Fee: ₦10,000.00
  * Screening Fee: ₦10,000.00
• Hard Copies: Credentials must be submitted physically to the Polytechnic Admission Office before the closing date.

V. IMPORTANT DEADLINES

• HND Regular Application Deadline: 16th June 2026.
• Part-Time Application Deadline: 30th June 2026.
• Note: There will be no extension for the sale of application forms beyond these dates.
