Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must:
Be from a developing or emerging country in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, or Latin America and currently reside there.
Hold a university degree and demonstrate professional experience from their home country.
Intend to pursue:
A Master’s degree or Ph.D. at a recognized German university, OR
A post-doctoral research project (2–6 months) for established university lecturers.
Be a Catholic Christian (or belong to a Christian denomination). However, applicants from other religions may also apply if recommended by Catholic partners and committed to interreligious dialogue.
Possess German language skills before starting studies (KAAD provides a preparatory language course).
