32ND INDUCTION AND SWEARING-IN CEREMONY OF MEDICAL GRADUANDS – ABIA STATE UNIVERSITY (ABSU)

The Vice Chancellor of Abia State University, Uturu, on behalf of the University Management and Senate, cordially invites the academia, proud parents, guardians, and the general public to the 32nd Induction and Swearing-in Ceremony of the latest set of Medical Graduands.

This prestigious ceremony marks the formal entry of our medical students into the noble profession of Medicine and Surgery, following years of rigorous academic and clinical training.

I. EVENT SCHEDULE

The institution has finalized the following arrangements for this significant professional milestone:

• Date: Thursday, 23rd April, 2026
• Time: 10:00 AM Prompt
• Venue: St. Galls De Event Center, 81/82 Umodu Street, Ayaba Umueze (By Early Learning School).

II. ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTIVES FOR GRADUANDS

To ensure a dignified and orderly ceremony, all medical graduands are required to adhere to the following:

PROCESSION AND PUNCTUALITY

• Graduands must be fully dressed in their professional academic regalia.
• All inductees are expected to be seated at the venue no later than 9:30 AM for the commencement of the academic procession.

REGISTRATION AND CLEARANCE

• Ensure all departmental and faculty clearances are completed before the induction date.
• Inductees should liaise with the College of Medicine for the final list of verified graduands to be presented to the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) during the ceremony.

III. INFORMATION FOR GUESTS AND PARENTS

• Venue Access: Guests are encouraged to arrive early to secure seating, as the ceremony will begin exactly at 10:00 AM.
• Conduct: In keeping with the solemnity of the medical oath, guests are requested to maintain decorum throughout the swearing-in process.
