NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA (NOUN) POSTPONES 31ST MATRICULATION CEREMONY
The University Management wishes to inform the University Community that the 31st Matriculation Ceremony originally scheduled for Wednesday, 9th September, 2026 has been officially shifted to Wednesday, 7th October, 2026.
This adjustment has become necessary due to the need to allow newly admitted students more time to complete their registration and clearance processes occasioned by challenges experienced on the Remita payment platform.
Management, in granting this extension noted the need to continue to prioritising an inclusive and seamless enrolment experience, where no qualified student is left behind.
In view of the above, Study Centre Directors are kindly required to:
- Reschedule and organize orientation activities.
- Communicate this date change to all newly admitted students through notice boards and communication channels.
- Utilize this extended window to assist prospective students in concluding all outstanding registration and fee clearance processes ahead of the ceremony.
Further details regarding the Matriculation Ceremony will be forwarded to the University Community in due course.
