ABIA STATE UNIVERSITY (ABSU) ANNOUNCES VACANCY FOR THE POSITION OF THE REGISTRAR

Abia State University (ABSU), Uturu, is officially inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the post of University Registrar, which will become vacant on September 1st, 2026.

Position and Responsibility

The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University, responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for day-to-day general administrative work.

The Registrar serves as Secretary to the Council, Senate, Congregation, and Convocation.

Qualifications and Experience

Must possess a good Honours degree from a recognized university.

Minimum of 15 years post-qualification experience, with at least 10 years of cognate experience in University administration (not below the rank of Deputy Registrar).

Must be ICT literate and not more than 60 years of age at the time of appointment.
Tenure: Single term of five (5) years.
